Hello

I support clients who may be facing depression, anxiety, or challenges connected to trauma and life stressors. In our first sessions, we’ll work together to create a treatment plan tailored to your needs and goals. As therapy continues, you’ll begin learning practical skills to manage symptoms, remove barriers, and move toward greater peace in your daily life. Many clients notice positive changes within the first month.

I believe you are the expert of your own story. That’s why I use a person-centered, strength-based approach—honoring your voice and building on your strengths. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to provide strategies that empower you to take charge of your journey. Together, we’ll build coping tools to help you feel more in control, resilient, and hopeful about your future.

My Story

Hello! My name is Omega Mostyn, and I am happy to meet you. I am a clinical mental health specialist with a passion for restoring lives and empowering individuals to be the best version of themselves. I would like to help you navigate through the challenges in your life to a place of mental health wellness. I am here to help you be an overcomer!

Life can be challenging. We encounter both good and difficult experiences. Sometimes the difficult experiences can be overwhelming. Sometimes those situations look like grief due to loss of loved ones, loss of jobs, or relationships. Sometimes they look like anxiety, stress, and emotional imbalance. These experiences happen to us as individuals and also within our families. They have no respect of persons; they just happen. I am here to provide person-centered guidance to those who would like to take control of their lives and restore peace and tranquility. I am here to help you TAP IN to your inner strength.

I believe that you are the expert of your experiences. No one can tell your story like you can! Your thoughts and feelings will be respected and honored. I will hear you and provide a  safe, supportive, person-centered environment that will allow you to voice your challenges. We will set goals for your future and monitor growth. I will work with you to the point where you can feel empowered and verbalize that you are ready to move forward on your own!

With over 25 years’ experience working with families as an educator and educational administrator in K-12 settings, and servicing individuals and families at New Oakland Family Centers, Stonecrest Center and the Children’s Center of Wayne County, I bring a unique perspective to my practice. I have the background of working with people and understanding the many obstacles that are encountered on a day-to-day basis.

How can I help you? I can provide you with coping skills and interventions to help you meet your obstacles and surpass them. My expertise is within the area of cognitive behavior therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavior therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy. Using these areas of treatment, I can provide you with coping skills and healthy ways of thinking to help you manage symptoms that cause discomfort and distress and change unhealthy thinking patterns to ones that promote self-esteem, self-efficacy, and self-love. Using this treatment, you can learn to self-regulate your emotions to maintain balance and lead a healthy fulfilling life.

It would be my pleasure to assist you in identifying barriers, setting goals, learning, growing and evolving into the person you would like to become. You can book with me by clicking on my website. I am looking forward to working with you!
