MOSTYN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
Mostyn Community Development (MCD) provides service and assistance in the following areas of academic enrichment for students deemed at-risk / underprivileged and special needs students: STEM and STEAM learning, career and leadership development, entrepreneurship, vocational training, community outreach, sports and recreation.
FASHIONABLY HUMBLE
Breanna Wheeler (Bre) is creator, visionary, entrepreneur, community lover, fashion enthusiast, and a sneaker addict. Born and raised in Ypsilanti, MI, Breanna is the second oldest of five and is paving an unfamiliar way for her younger siblings.Bre birthed Fashionably Humble, a brand inspiring women to dress modestly in a fashionable and creative manner. Her love for fashion began in her teen years and has developed over time to become an aspiration to young girls and women to be confident with their style.
In 2021, Breanna relaunched Fashionably Humble with her Jesus+Sneakers line which has been moving across the world. She is affectionately known as the “Jesus and Sneakers Lady”. Jesus+Sneakers has paved the way for her purpose. Bre has been featured in magazines, podcasts, and has sponsored a host of events.
Autism + Sneakers is collaborative campaign featuring Fashionably Humble + Mostyn Community Development. The purpose of this collaboration is to bring awareness to Autism and to raise funds for resources for the students that are apart of Mostyn Community Development (MCD). MCD provides trainings and resources to individuals that identify with the American Disability Act. We here at MCD constantly remind our students that their disability is a special ability and that whatever they struggle with isn't a barrier, but an asset. Our Campaign will run from February 1 through April 4 and on April 5 we will be taking our students with ASD to the Pistons game where they will have a night full of festivities. We hope that you can support us by sharing our posts on social media, donating to the campaign, purchasing a t-shirt or sweatshirt, or even buying a ticket to the Pistons Game and sporting your Autism + Sneakers Gear. Pull out your best sneakers for this “Ausome” campaign as we strive to change the lives of those who identify with autism spectrum disorder.
